Japan and the Republic of Maldives signed the bilateral document to start JCM

June 29, 2013, Mr. Nobuteru Ishihara, Minister of the Environment, Japan and Dr. Mariyam Shakeela, Minister of Environment and Energy, the Republic of Maldives, signed the bilateral document of the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) in Okinawa, Japan. As a result, the JCM will be officially launched in the Republic of Maldives, the fifth country after Mongolia, Bangladesh, Ethiopia, and Kenya.
