“Preparing and Implementing the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) and NAMAs”

The event introduced overviews and recent outcomes of initiatives on the JCM project development, and capacity-building activities for NAMAs in a MRV manner. Partner developing countries, namely Mongolia, Vietnam and Lao PDR, have presented updates in their mitigation efforts and discussed expectations of the JCM and NAMA implementation. The event was closed with presentations on capacity building activities for NAMAs, and JCM studies, by OECC and GEC respectively.

The event was attended by more than 70 participants. During the question and answer session, several comments and questions in relation to institutional arrangements for the implementation of the JCM were explained.
