Indonesia: 10MW Mini Hydro Power Plant Project in North Sumatra [Toyo Energy Farm Co., Ltd.]

An inflow type mini hydro power plant is under construction in the southwest of Lake Toba, North Sumatra, Indonesia. The plant will be completed in September 2019.
The electricity generated by the plant being supplied to local grid will result in an annual emissions reduction of more than 40,000tCO2.
Facing economic growth and an increasing population, Indonesia expedited the development of new electric power resources for a stable supply of electricity.
The project is expected to contribute to generating local employment through the plant construction, operation and maintenance as well as contributing to reducing power shortages in the vicinity.
