JCM Business matchmaking event in Mongolia

The JCM business matchmaking event was co-organized by Ministry of Environment and Tourism, Mongolia (MOET), Ministry of the Environment, Japan (MOEJ), Environment and Climate Fund, Business Council of Mongolia and OECC in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on November 7, 2018.

Total 120 participants from the government, relevant organizations and private sector of Mongolia and Japan attended on the event. Overview and progress of the JCM was introduced in the morning session and private companies from both countries had active discussions to elaborate JCM projects in the afternoon session.

The JCM Joint Committee between Mongolia and Japan was also held the day before the event on 6 November and 9,206 t-CO2 JCM credits were newly issued from the JCM projects in Mongolia. Further dissemination of low carbon technologies is expected through the JCM with promoting exchange and cooperation between government and private sector of both countries.
