Report of UNFCCC COP25 Side Event in Madrid, Spain

Accelerating the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) to support NDCs implementation
– Project scale-up and stakeholder collaboration –

Japan has started the JCM since 2013 and has been implementing more than 150 JCM projects with 17 partner countries which promotes mitigation actions in these countries.

 

In order to effectively scale up the JCM, collaborations with various stakeholders and effective contributions to NDCs implementation in partner countries are required.

 

In this side event, speakers from relevant organizations and JCM partner countries reported and discussed the status of collaboration and progress of scaling-up the JCM.
