Costa Rica: 5MW Solar Power Project in Belen [NTT Data Institute of Management Consulting, Inc.]

A large-scale 5MW solar power plant was introduced in Belen, Costa Rica. The energy conversion efficiency (*1) of the solar panels used in this project is 19.7%, top-class high performance within the industry. The project contributes to the diversification of country’s energy sources, complement the lower hydropower generation in dry season and GHG emission reductions.
The solar power plant supplies electricity to 2,100 households of Coop Guanacaste’s customers. The president of the Coop Guanacaste appreciated that the project leads to contribute the life improvement for Guanacaste habitants.
