Indonesia: 1.6MW Solar PV Power Plant Project in Jakabaring Sport City [Sharp Energy Solutions Company]

The Sharp Solar Plant, located in the same area as the 2018 Asian Games has started operations! The generated electricity is supplied to the grid and contributes to CO2 emissions reduction. This power plant is jointly operated with PDPDE, a local energy solutions company in Indonesia.
Over 25 local media in South Sumatra Province featured this project which has received high expectations from the Indonesian people for introducing renewable energy by the JCM and contributing to the promotion of a green sport event.
According to ANTARA News, the Head of the Energy and Mineral Resources Service of South Sumatra pointed out the pressing need for solar energy to support the clean air policy, with him saying “This project is one of the programs aimed to make a city pollution-free.”
