Welcomes the Philippines to the JCM family!

2017.01.19

We would like to extend a warm welcome to the Republic of the Philippines, becoming the seventeenth JCM partner country!

The Philippines had been longly expected to join the Joint Crediting Mechanism (JCM) since the signing of an aide memoire with intent to establish the JCM in December 2015.

On 12 January 2017, the bilateral document to start the JCM was signed in Manila, in the presence of Prime Minister Abe and H.E. President Duterte.

Signing of the bilateral document would trigger off JCM project implementation, expected to contribute to climate change countermeasures in the Philippines.
